Driving Responsible Business Conduct
The School of Business Environment (SBE) is a specialised vertical within IICA promoting responsible business conduct — focusing on forward-looking areas of ESG, CSR, Sustainable Finance, Business & Biodiversity Conservation, Business and Human Rights, Responsible Trade, and Non-Financial Reporting & Audit.
SBE provides technical expertise to various Ministries, State Governments, Corporates, Board Members, and other stakeholders through research, policy inputs, advisory services, and customised capacity-building programmes.
Key contributions include developing the National Guidelines on Responsible Business Conduct (NGRBC), the Zero Draft of the National Action Plan on Business & Human Rights, and technical inputs to the High-Level Committees on CSR for the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
The National Conference on Responsible Business Conduct (NCRBC) has emerged as a premier platform for advancing India's ESG and responsible business agenda. Convened annually by SBE–IICA, it brings together policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, financial institutions, and practitioners to align business practices with evolving sustainability priorities.
Over the years, NCRBC has reflected the progression of India's ESG journey — from building awareness and promoting adoption, to accelerating uptake through policy and finance, and most recently to integrating ESG into corporate strategy and governance.
Recent policy developments reinforce this momentum. The Union Budget 2026–27 has emphasised green growth, climate transition, and sustainable infrastructure.
NCRBC 2026 aims to advance the national discourse by focusing on implementation, scale, and impact while fostering collaboration among government, regulators, industry, and financial institutions enabling actionable pathways for embedding ESG as a core pillar of India's growth strategy towards Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Four strategic objectives that guide the design, content, and expected outcomes of the National Conference on Responsible Business Conduct 2026.
NCRBC 2026 is structured around eight high-level panels addressing the most critical dimensions of ESG transformation in India — from board governance and climate finance to nutrition reporting, MSMEs, and AI-driven governance.
Senior government ministers, regulators, institutional heads, and industry leaders confirmed to participate. Speaker list is indicative and subject to updates.
Two full days of conference (15–16 July) followed by a dedicated BRSR Masterclass (17 July) — comprising High-Level Panels, Roundtable Discussions, a C-Suite Lounge, Networking, Training, and Publications.
Register for the 2-day Conference, the 1-day BRSR Masterclass, or both. Special rates available for NAIL Members.
Registration fees are non-refundable. For group registrations, speaker nominations, or sponsorship enquiries:

India's ESG journey has moved decisively from awareness to integration, and the time has now come for ESG to act as a genuine driver of transformation. The National Conference on Responsible Business Conduct (NCRBC) 2026, themed "ESG-led Transformation for Viksit Bharat," reflects this shift of moving beyond compliance to position ESG as a catalyst for redefining business models, strengthening governance, and delivering measurable value across India's economy.
As India advances towards the vision of a developed, inclusive, and resilient nation by 2047, businesses, regulators, and policymakers must work in concert to embed sustainability not as an external obligation but as the operational core of enterprise. I am confident that NCRBC 2026 will continue IICA's tradition of fostering candid dialogue and actionable insight, and I warmly welcome all participants to be part of this important national conversation.
IICA's School of Business Environment is proud to host the fourth edition of the National Conference on Responsible Business Conduct, a platform that has steadily evolved alongside India's ESG landscape from building foundational awareness, to accelerating adoption, to integrating ESG into corporate strategy and governance.
NCRBC 2026 marks the next step in this journey, focusing on implementation, scale, and impact across critical priorities such as climate risk, sustainable finance, responsible supply chains, MSME enablement, and technology-driven governance. Through high-level panels, policy deliberations, and cross-sector dialogue, we hope to generate actionable pathways that help businesses move from alignment with ESG to using them as genuine engines of transformation, and I look forward to welcoming policymakers, industry leaders, and practitioners to what promises to be a substantive and forward-looking conference.
