Prof. Rebecca Parry, Professor at Nottingham Law School conducted an insightful session on UNCITRAL Model Law. She spoke about the existing approaches in the absence of Model law and also discussed the basic structure of the Model Law.

Over a span of five days, Bridge Public Policy conducted a workshop on “Alternate Methods of Recovery and Contract Enforcement” for the students of GIP. The statutes that were covered were- SARFAESI Act, RDB Act, Commercial Courts Act, RERA, Arbitration and Conciliation Act, Consumer Protection Act, Negotiable Instrument Act and Transfer of Property Act.

The discussion covered a wide range of aspects which need due consideration before the Fresh Start Process under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) is officially rolled out. The panellist who participated were Dr Renuka Sane- Associate Professor at National Institute of Public Finance and Policy; Prof. H. S. Shylendra- Professor at Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) and Prof. John Tribe- Senior Lecturer at the University of Liverpool. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Neeti Shikha, Head, Centre for Insolvency and Bankruptcy, IICA.

Prof Paul J Omar, Senior Lecturer at De Montfort University delivered an enriching session on Cross Border Insolvency for the GIP Students.

The panel discussed a wide range of issues generally associated with pre-packs and also suggested the way forward for India. The panellist included Mr DinkarVenkatasubramanian, Partner- EY; Mr Aurelio Gurrea-Martínez, Asst. Professor- Singapore Management University; Mr Ian Mann, Asia Managing Partner- Harneys; Ms Kanika Kitchlu-Connolly, Partner- TLT LLP; Mr Pulkit Deora, Advocate and Ms Pooja Mahajan, Managing Partner- Chandhiok & Mahajan, Advocates and Solicitors. The session was moderated by Dr. Neeti Shikha, Head, Centre for Insolvency and Bankruptcy, IICA.

Ms. Akshita Kapur- CEO of The New Me Finishing School took a number of sessions for the students of Graduate Insolvency Programme. She covered various topics like Personal Grooming, Business Counselling and Communication & Presentation Skills.

Over a span of two days, Ms Manmayi Sharma took sessions on Individual Insolvency for the students of GIP. The topics covered were Stigma and Second Chance, Commencement, Moratorium and Introduction of framework and commencement.

Dr Shubashis Gangopadhyay- Dean of the Indian School of Public Policy (ISPP), delivered an insightful lecture on the topic "Efficiency of Bankruptcy Institution" to the students of Graduate Insolvency Program.

Creative problem-solving is the art for any innovation. Some of the world’s most innovative companies are very systematic in following such approach. Creativity thrives amid constraints and calls for great discipline. Dr Pavan Soni was invited by Knowledge Resource centre to discuss his recently published book “Design Your Thinking” on February 8, 2021. The session was moderated by Dr Lata Suresh – Head Knowledge Resource Centre. While answering the questions Dr Soni discussed on how the tenets, methods and discipline of design thinking can be applied across a range of domains, including to everyday problems, and help us become expert problem-solvers through the use of the appropriate toolsets, skill sets and mindsets. The answers to questions of moderator and the participants made this program very interactive and was extremely beneficial for the students and the participants.

Program concluded with the valedictory address of remarks of Dr. Lata Suresh-Head KRC who coordinated the event.

A Virtual Book Exhibition cum Workshop on How to write and get it published was organised by Knowledge Resource Centre on February 11, 2021. The Programme was well attended by the participants form IICA and outside. The programme was moderated by Dr Lata Suresh -Head Knowledge Resource Centre.

The Taylor and Francis group described the procedure and the policies of writing a book and the papers for the journals publications.
