The Centre of Regulatory Governance (CRG) at the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) is a dedicated academic and policy centre committed to advancing the theory and practice of regulatory governance in India. As a platform for regulatory learning and scholarship, the Centre promotes excellence in regulatory design, evidence-based policymaking, and institutional capacity development to address the evolving challenges of governance in a dynamic economy.
The Centre develops interdisciplinary academic programs, executive education, professional certification courses, and research initiatives that integrate global regulatory frameworks with Indian policy priorities. It serves as a forum for dialogue among regulators, policymakers, academia, industry, and international experts, while generating knowledge through publications, case studies, policy papers, and collaborative research on emerging regulatory issues.
By bridging academic research with regulatory practice, the Centre seeks to nurture a new generation of regulatory professionals and thought leaders capable of strengthening institutional quality, improving regulatory outcomes, and supporting India's journey towards a more transparent, predictable, and innovation-driven regulatory environment.
The Forum of Indian Regulators (FOIR) Centre at the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) serves as a dedicated platform for strengthening regulatory capacity, promoting collaboration, and advancing policy-oriented research across India’s regulatory ecosystem. The Centre operates to support regulators in addressing the complexities of modern markets and ensuring the protection of consumer interests.
The FOIR Centre has been established, pursuant to a formal agreement between IICA and FOIR, to act as a knowledge and coordination hub, undertaking research, organising seminars, workshops, conferences, and training programs, and publishing newsletters and reports.
Through its initiatives, the FOIR Centre at IICA plays a pivotal role in capacity building, academic advancement, and strategic policy development for regulators in India. By fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange, the Centre contributes to strengthening regulatory governance and promoting a transparent, efficient, and resilient economic framework.
