Message from Leadership

Shri Gyaneshwar Kumar Singh

Director General & CEO, IICA

The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) has consistently worked towards strengthening India's governance ecosystem through capacity building, policy research, and knowledge dissemination. As a premier institution under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, IICA has played a pivotal role in advancing good governance, institutional excellence, and professional development across diverse domains of public policy and corporate affairs.

In furtherance of this vision, the Centre of Regulatory Governance (CRG) serves as IICA's dedicated academic and policy centre for advancing the theory and practice of regulatory governance in India. The Centre promotes excellence in regulatory design, evidence-based policymaking, and institutional capacity development through interdisciplinary academic programs, executive education, professional certification courses, and research initiatives. By bridging academic scholarship with regulatory practice, the Centre of Regulatory Governance seeks to nurture a new generation of regulatory professionals and thought leaders capable of strengthening institutional quality, improving regulatory outcomes, and supporting India's journey towards a transparent, predictable, innovation-driven regulatory environment in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat.

Prof (Dr) Naveen Sirohi

Centre Head, CRG

The Economic Survey 2025–26 aptly observes the need for "creating a cadre of professionals adept in regulatory design and implementation to improve the Ease of Doing Business." This call reflects a broader reality: as regulation becomes increasingly central to economic development, technological advancement, environmental sustainability, and public trust, the quality of regulatory institutions will depend on the quality of the professionals who shape them. Building regulatory capability is therefore not only an institutional necessity but a strategic investment in India's governance architecture.

The Centre of Regulatory Governance (CRG) has been established with the conviction that informed regulation is the cornerstone of effective governance. As a dedicated platform for regulatory scholarship, professional learning, and policy engagement, the Centre seeks to bridge the gap between academic inquiry and regulatory practice. Through interdisciplinary education, executive development, applied research, policy dialogue, and collaboration with regulators, academia, industry, and international institutions, we aspire to cultivate analytical rigour, ethical leadership, and evidence-based decision-making among current and future regulatory professionals. I invite you to engage with the Centre's initiatives and become part of a growing community committed to shaping smarter regulation, stronger institutions, and better governance for the future.
