School of Competition Law and Market Regulation at Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (Think Tank for Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India) successfully completed its 5th batch of Advanced Professional Course in Competition Law and Market Regulations. The course enabled the participants in acquiring basic and advanced understanding of competition laws in India and its practice. The course was taken up by in-house counsels, practising advocates, sectoral regulators, economists, public sector enterprises and students. School collaborated with various area experts such as Dr. Geeta Gouri, Former Member, Competition Commission of India; Dr. Rupal Rautdesai, Symbiosis Law College, Pune; Mr. Anand Kumar Singh, Associate Professor, NUJS; Dr. Rahul Singh, Partner-Competition Law, Khaitan & Co.; Ms. Ginny Rautray (Rautray and Co.); Mr. Rudresh Singh, Partner-Competition Law, L&L; Dr. Abha Yadav, Associate Professor, SoCL&MR (Course co-ordinator).

The course has received wonderful feedback from the passing out batch. The School will shortly roll out registration and brochure for its 6th Batch.

School of Finance organised Master Class with expert from RICS, UK on “Covid-19 effect on Valuation Numbers and Practices”. Mr Ben Elder, Global Director of Valuation at RICS and IVSC Chair of Tangible Asset Board joined participants of IICA Valuation Certificate Programme on April 06, 2021 for interaction. Mr Ben started the session with important role of valuation on economy and then discussed relevant concepts of valuation standards, difficulties posed by Covid-19 crisis on valuation and different methodologies to be preferred in the current Covid-19 situation. Mr Ben also touched upon the strategy to be followed to model the Covid-19 impact with a DCF assumption. Participants appreciated the valuable insights from Mr Ben.
