Associate Professor
Dr Garima Dadhich, Associate Professor with Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA). She is heading the School of Business Environment / National Foundation for Corporate Social Responsibility (NFCSR) and Centre for Business and Human Rights at IICA. She has also worked as Assistant Professor of Law at National Law University Jodhpur for five years and has taught several courses under corporate and commercial laws. She has 16 plus years of rich experience in academia, industry and development sector.
At IICA, she has provided end-to-end support to organisations for effectively executing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects and has executed several CSR project Assessments and CSR Project Monitoring for Public and Private Companies. She has trained various Directors/Independent Directors from various Public Sector Units and Private Companies for improving board effectiveness and governance of CSR.
She has been instrumental in co-creating an enabling environment in the country for promotion of the Environmental-Social-Governance (ESG), Business and Human Rights (BHR) and other such aspects in Corporate Sustainability. Various initiatives such as development of industry sector specific guidelines for adaptation of NGRBCs, development of Partnership guidelines etc. have recently been initiated by her.
She is a regular faculty for the programmes on business laws, corporate governance, Corporate Social Responsibility for Ministry Officials and Corporate Executives. She has undertaken various Research Projects for the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and has provided policy support to the Government. She is also member of various Expert/Advisory committee of Government of India and other national and international bodies.
She is a certified trainer on "Managing Disputes and Difficult Conversations on the Board" by Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR). She completed her LLB from ILS Law College, Pune and Masters Programme in Commercial and Corporate Laws from Queen Mary University of London, UK. She has obtained an “International Legal English Certificate” from University of Cambridge. Her doctoral research concentrates on Corporate Governance. She has also completed a course on Sustainable Finance from Harvard Extension School and is a certified Sustainable Finance Analyst from WSFI. She has published research papers in referred academic journals and presented papers in several conferences, seminars and academic workshops. She is a regular visiting faculty for SCOPE- Academy of Public Sector Enterprise (APSE), Management Institutions and various National Law Universities etc.
Her current areas of interest are Corporate Social Responsibility, Responsible Governance, Business Sustainability and Business Laws.
Head, Centre for Insolvency & Bankruptcy
Dr K.L Dhingra has assumed the office of Head, Centre for Insolvency & Bankruptcy, Indian Institute for Corporate Affairs on 2nd January, 2023.
Dr. Dhingra has done his MBA from FMS, Delhi University. His other qualifications include M.Com., LL.B. (A), PGDM, CAIIB and ACIB from London Institute of Banking and Finance. His Ph.D. has been in the area of ‘Corporate Governance’.
He has over 40 years of experience in Academic Administration, Banking, Finance and Management, out of which he has worked for more than 25 years in leadership roles. His earlier assignments have been as Chairman & Managing Director of HUDCO (A Development Financial Institution), Chairman & Managing Director of ITI Ltd (first PSU of India) and also Director, National Institute of Bank Management (an Apex Institution for the Banking and Financial Services Sector set up by RBI/SBI/PSBs). He has also been the Vice-Chairman of SCOPE and also Chairman of its Finance Committee.
Dr Dhingra has been Governing Board member in some leading Institutions in the domains of Banking and Financial Services, Telecom, Defence, and has been member of Pension Advisory Committee of PFRDA. He has also has held Board positions in many corporates.
He has been associated with UN Habitat as member of ERSO Trust Fund, as a Financial Expert representing Asian Countries, nominated by the Govt. of India. He has also been a member of few Committees constituted by the Govt and also Technical Advisory Committee on Development of Housing Start-up Index in India constituted by the Reserve Bank.
Dr Dhingra is a Fellow of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance, London Institute of Banking & Finance, Chartered Bankers Institute, Scotland, and Financial Services Institute of Australasia. He is recipient of various awards/prizes for his professional contribution and achievements in the banking education.
He has worked in the Banking and Financial Services Sector in positions across Probationary Officer to the Chairman & Managing Director. He has handled recovery, restructuring of loans, management of NPAs and has dealt with stressed debtors for long. He has been instrumental in the revival of two chronically loss making CPSUs, including one declared as ‘sick’ under erstwhile SICA, 1985. He is also a qualified Insolvency Professional.
In addition to his responsibility as Head, Centre for Insolvency & Bankruptcy, Dr Dhingra shall also be Head of the Graduate Insolvency Programme – flagship course of Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs.

Head, Knowledge Resource Centre
Dr. Lata Suresh is the Head of Knowledge Resource Centre with a professional experience of more than 25 years in her portfolio. Dr Lata Suresh is PhD from University of Pune, MBA, MPhil, MLISc, M.A (Sociology), and did her Advanced Diploma in IT and E-Commerce Technology. She is Responsible for overall management of KRC, like administration, budgeting, developing the KRC tools and techniques, Programmes , coordination in all phases of day-to-day operations, training, supervising, evaluating the services, effective and efficient functioning of the KRC systems, extensive interaction with all departments and Schools with creative leadership, vision, and direction. She has represented in all professional activities, internationally, nationally, regionally and locally. She has also integrated advances in information technology to support the academic Programmes of the institutes she worked with. She has created, trained and developed E-Library Portals using Open Source softwares.
Prior to joining IICA in 2011 she has served Institute of Health Management Research University which is also a WHO Collaborating Centre and SDMH cum Research Centre. She has developed certain skills and acquired the capacity to optimize internal and external resources towards both personal and professional success. She has published three books with renowned publishers. She is also Editor, Associate Editor and member in few National and International reputed Journals. She has also served as an Asst. Editor for Journal of Health Management published by Sage publications. She has extensively published articles, case studies and book reviews in reputed national and international journals and attended National and International Workshops, Seminars and Conferences as Speaker and presenter too. She was consultant to several organizations in setting up their information centres / knowledge centres and also has done funded research projects.
She has grabbed many National and International Awards like Asian Professional Award, Women Innovator/Influencer Award, Ideal Womaniya National Award, Motilal Sanghi National Young Librarian Award, Holy Maa Maya Young Librarian National Award, A.N. Marrappan Memorial National Best Young Librarian Award by SALIS, Best Librarian Award from Rajasthan Patrika and, Best Librarian Award from Rajasthan Pathak Manch etc.
Her strength lies in bringing persistent energy, enthusiasm to her work and willingness to take ownership for her work. She is extremely focused and committed towards achievement of tasks and goals.
Head - E2E in CSR
Mukesh Kumar is social development programme specialist with more than 20 years of experience to his credit. He has extensive experience in programming in development program all spheres of development space-Govt. sector, Corporate,national as well as International NGOs, multilateral as well as bilateral development organizations. Besides Development programming, he has extensive experience in Total quality management, ICT and other IT based applications including developing a web and telephony based portal. His key areas of expertise include Project planning and management, Fund raising, large scale budget program management, representation at highest levels of govt., private sector and international organizations, Team building , community management and Participatory monitoring and evaluation. Mukesh has field level experience across the poorest regions in India including Bihar, Jharkahnd, M.P., Chhattisgarh, UP and Gujarat; In these roles he provided critical leadership support in supervision of programme, maintaining collaborative relationship across stakeholders, and overseeing budgeting and spending of state as well as donor funds. At present, He has joined IICA recently as a Senior Consultant. Besides, he is the Chief Coordinator of Web and Telephony based Nutrition Resource Platform (NRP) of Ministry of Women and Child Development, Govt.of India. A banker-turned-academician, Prof (Dr) Naveen Sirohi is the Founding Head of School of Finance at Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), a think tank of the Government of India. Possessing a unique blend of 20+ years of experience across corporate, academia and government, he is contributing to the success of the corporate sector in India through the mandate of capacity building, education, research and consultancy. After holding various managerial positions in the banking industry across both public and private banks, he moved to academia and is now contributing to provide academic and administrative leadership to the School. He has conducted 100+ Executive Education Programmes catering to more than 5000 corporate executives and government officials on contemporary financial and leadership themes across levels (induction, middle and top management) and across geographies(India and abroad). Dr Sirohi is the Director of Forum of Indian Regulators (FOIR) Centre at IICA which is the knowledge, research and capacity building hub for the Central and State Government regulators in India. He is also providing support to various priority initiatives of Government of India like financial literacy, financial inclusion and financial reporting working closely with concerned government bodies/departments like IEPFA, IPPB, NFRA. He contributed inputs and was acknowledged for the same in the Economic Survey 2021-22. In the past, he also handled the additional charge of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He is a visiting faculty in various reputed institutions, universities, central and state training academies. Academically, Dr Sirohi holds post-graduate and PhD degrees in commerce with a first-class academic record. Dr. Niraj Gupta is heading the School of Corporate Governance & Public Policy, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, New Delhi. He is also leading the public policy initiatives on Independent Directors Databank and National CSR Awards as Nodal Officer.
He is having more than 27 years of Research, Teaching & Consulting Experience. He is a Ph.D, MBA, M.com and Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management and has attended a number of courses at IIM-Ahmedabad, IIT-Kanpur, MDI-Gurgaon etc. Dr. Gupta is an ICSSR Visiting Research Fellow, DEA Fellow of Foundation Maison Des Sciences, Paris France on the aspects of Corporate Governance, Business Sustainability and Responsible Business Conduct. He had also been a visiting professor to a number of academic institutions in India and Europe.
Dr Gupta had been engaged in various research projects and has authored a number of research papers/reports in the field of corporate governance, business policy etc. He is a recipient of a number of scholarships and awards in his career. He has participated in various national and International Conferences and participated in various academic, consulting, advocacy forums.
Executive training and adult learning is his forte and has trained a number of boards/ board members of public and private sector companies in India and abroad.
Dr. Pyla Narayana Rao is an Associate Professor with School of Corporate Law & School of Competition Law & Market Regulations (I/C) at IICA. He is also a Nodal officer from IICA to Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI). Dr. Rao is one the key persons for bringing the Post Graduate Insolvency Programmes (formerly known as GIP) at IICA and acted as Course Coordinator, GIP and Nodal Faculty of Centre for Insolvency and Bankruptcy at IICA. He acted as course coordinator of the prestigious National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) Colloquiums for Hon’ble Members of NCLT organized at IICA as an Induction and Refresher Programs. He was the course director for training programs organized for Officers of Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) from 2015 to 2022. He is also course coordinator and director at IICA for one of the flagship and prestigious two years LL.M residential program on IBC by NALSAR and IICA. He organized many programs in online and offline mode on Corporate Law, Competition Law and Business and Financial Laws including the IBC. He conducted and addressed customized programs for Officers of Power Grid Corporation, National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), EY, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Telecom, and Department of Audit and Accounts on various issues related to Companies Act, SEBI, Competition Law and IBC. He also addressed the Officers of Indian Corporate Law Service (ICLS) from 2015 to 2018 on Corporate and Allied Laws. Dr. Rao completed his LL.M. and Ph.D. from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. Prior to Joining IICA, Dr. Rao has assisted the M.K. Nambyar SAARC Law Centre at NALSAR University of Law as a Research Associate from 2009 to 2013. He was the co-editor of the M.K. Nambyar SAARC Law Centre newsletter and assisted the Centre in conducting International Conferences, National Workshops and Monthly Seminars. He has taught Comparative Corporate and Competition Laws and International Commercial and Business Laws to Post Graduate students at NALSAR. He also worked as an Assistant Professor at School of Law, GITAM University, Visakhapatnam from 2013 to 2014. Head, Centre for MSME
Rajesh is currently working as Head of the Centre for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Rajesh has held this position since 2014 with additional responsibilities including Chief Administrative Officer for 4 years (27.03.2020 to 30.04.2024), Nodal Officer Projects – Corporate Data Management (CDM). Additionally, Rajesh has also worked as Head – Institutional Partnership and Corporate Communication for 3 years (2019 - 2022). He has led various Committees such as Internal Monitoring Committee (IMC) and Tender Evaluation Committee (TEC) for all projects, Manpower committee and HR committee at Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA). Rajesh is currently responsible for several development activities through Capacity Building measures by taking serious initiatives in Entrepreneurship Education, Research and Consultancy, Collaboration for Policy Facilitation, professional endeavors for institutional strengthening, Sector guidelines and advocacy to develop best practices for SMEs. He has worked in different verticals / domains including 18 years of operational experience in public sector financial organization i.e. The National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) & Indian Institute of Corporate affairs (IICA), extensively in the Policy development work, Business Strategy, Project Management, Programme management, Procurement / Supply Chain Management (SCM), Business development, working capital management, Regulatory Risk and rationalizing the business and financial structure as well as in areas such as promotion, development and financing of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, SME competitiveness enhancement and institutional strengthening. Rajesh Batra is conferred with “National Award for Excellence in the field of Public Services – MSMEs taking into Global Arena” by H.E. Governor of Mizoram on 7th February, 2020. He was appointed Sole Arbitrator under the Arbitration & Conciliation Act 1996 by the Chairman-cum- Managing Director of NSIC Limited for adjudication of disputes and differences between NSIC Ltd. and Private Business units. Besides, as a member of core team, he worked closely to lead / oversee the matters related with large scale implementation of Activity Plan / Programmes including govt. grant monitoring and administration under the Centrally Sponsored large Schemes of Govt. of India. Rajesh has done his masters in commerce and postgraduate management courses in the areas of Foreign Trade and Marketing. Currently, Rajesh is working very closely with the industry and with different GOI offices at the Ministry level, State bodies, industry associations/chambers of commerce, entrepreneurship development institutes, SMEs, national and international supporting partners and banks/financial institutions to ensure capacity building at both ends: at the government level as well as at the industries. He gets invited to speak and chair sessions by organizations such as Ministry of MSME and its constituent institutions, Industry Associations and other leading International Institutions.
