School of Finance

Financial Reporting

Working as an agent to government, the School of Finance provides the academic, capacity building, research and advocacy support to the National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA).

Few areas where the School has initiated work or is contemplating contributions include:

    Training and capacity building of officers of NFRA through customised programs

    Development of manual

    Conducting seminars, conferences, webinars, road shows etc. for advocacy

    Undertaking research on contemporary challenges/issues relevant to the mandate of
      NFRA like

    Recommend accounting and auditing policies and standards to be adopted by
      companies for approval by the Central Government;

    Monitor and enforce compliance with accounting standards and auditing standards;

    Oversee the quality of service of the professions associated with ensuring
      compliance with such standards and suggest measures for improvement in the
      quality of service;
